“You don’t have to be controlled.  There is a way out”

It was during the pandemic in 2020 that I started studying to become a Personal Trainer, as well as studying Nutrition and Behavioral Change amongst others.  I questioned everything to do with my journey – my past, present and my future.

I started with how I was created in the womb of my mother.  The umbilical cord connected from my mother to my navel fed me all the nutrients needed to create me physically into the woman I am today.  That was the beginning.  The Primary Brain is in my Abdomen and it created the Secondary Brain.

My Primary Brain has all the answers to how, why, what, when, where, who.  I believe my Secondary Brain to be in the Head.  In other words the power to create is in my Abdomen.  This took me a little bit of getting used to but I kept going with it.  There is a physical nerve connection between the Primary and Secondary Brains via the Vagus nerve.  This is just one nerve, whilst there are so many nerve connections from the Secondary Brain to other areas of the body.  There has to be a bigger part that the Primary Brain played.  As far as I could see the Vagus nerve only accounted for 5%.  The other 95% was physically unaccounted for, and therefore, it had to be non-physical.

I kept going along with the idea that our instinct / gut feeling came as a result of the Vagus nerve.  This wasn’t enough for me to work with in order to progress in life as the Secondary Brain can always override it at any time.  I started working with the non-physical side of my Primary Brain and I overcame all my obstacles.  I also realised that I must have been working with my Abdominal Brain all my life without realising as I began to take pride in the fact that I never really got sick and I ate what I liked and what I wanted when I wanted.  Looking back to 2018, whilst I was working out intensively, I went for a routine blood test, only to be told that my tests for hypothyroidism was off the charts and I am lucky to be alive.  I was advised to take numerous blood tests and see specialists who recommended that I take increased doses of thyroxine.  They were not able to explain why my hair, nails and skin were in very good condition and did not reflect the blood test results.  As a consequence, I gave up on all the medications I was on.

I kept myself mentally (my mind) strong by keeping my body strong from the inside.  I paid attention to my nutrition as a priority without taking any supplements.  I always listened to my body and whenever I got the urge from my Head to do something, I would take a step back and listen to my body.  I would get a completely different answer and I always stayed with that.  I found the way to differentiate between the two brains.  The Secondary Brain is easy to program with routines and habits, and these are difficult to get rid of when they are not wanted.  The Primary Brain on the other hand is very adaptable and flexible.  It cannot be programmed.  It works with the environment.  It works with the 5 senses and how the senses affect the body.  When the 5 senses work with the Head there are pre-programmed set of principles on how you are meant to be, where as with the Abdomen, all the senses can come together to give a totally different outcome.

The 5 senses are the necessary access points between one’s mind and the body.  There are many different theories about an individual’s mind – some say it is connected to the brain (Head), whilst others say it is outside.  I will give you my perspective based on my personal research.  An individual’s mind is part of the individual and therefore connected to the body.  It is connected to the Primary Brain directly and the Secondary Brain via the Vagus nerve (which is a very small connection).  Information stored in the mind comes from the environment as well as “thoughts” and is used for programming the body.  Programming always happens through the Secondary Brain and this happens whether the individual likes it or not.  Things can get out of control and he or she can become helpless.  The only way to overcome any stressful situations is to focus on exactly “what you want” in other words what your Whole Self wants (not parts of you).  This takes you away from the programmed Secondary Brain and passes the power onto the Primary Brain – where the Inner Power / your Ego / your Whole Self (ie your strength) rests.  When you are “Whole”, you decide what you want to keep in your “Mind” and how that information is used.

When it comes to an individual’s state of mind, there are parts of the mind that needs to be considered namely the conscious mind, the subconscious mind and the unconscious mind.  I will leave that for another day.

I hope the above has touched you in some way and given you hope.
